“The Purpose for which the said corporation is formed is, the encouragement and protection of trade and commerce, which said purpose is to be achieved by the association of members of the corporation who are engaged in the trade or calling of contractor, the presentation and discussion of the problems and difficulties connected with the said trade or calling, the maintenance of a meeting place where matters connected with the said trade or calling can be discussed and means of overcoming difficulties devised, and where information, periodicals and textbooks useful and necessary for the advancement of the said trade or calling of contractor can be collected and at the service of the members of the corporation.”
